Getting itchy feet a few years ago now, Steve & I bought ourselves a second-hand campervan. An E-reg Autosleeper Flair, it might be considered by some to be a bit of a dinosaur; by others to be a classic. Either way, it got us around so we could have some mini adventures from time to time. We downsized to a Romahome since then and that’s now gone to a proud owner (so we’re just left with our bikes for touring at the moment!).
I’ve pandered to Steve’s cycling fetish over the years by agreeing to combine many of our trips away with his training schedule and racing events (see our ‘sub-blog’, Steve’s Cycle Shorts). I am also an avid writer and have published a number of books, including Campervan Capers (see the BOOKS tab) about our first year campervanning, so it seemed fitting that this blog should have the same name! I’ve also enjoyed indulging in a bit of photography on our trips away, so why not check out the link below if you’d like to see some of our travel pix?
After a few years of having the camper, our adventures slowed down somewhat, and my ‘restless energy’ ended up being channelled into my time-consuming writing projects (see the BOOKS tab for some campervan fiction!). However, in the meantime, I thought I’d leave this blog up for folks like yourself to enjoy (& perhaps benefit from, as we’ve picked up a few tips along the way). I hope our travel tales will inspire you to have some adventures of your own!
